Sunday School

We have a vibrant Sunday School program led by three highly trained and engaging teachers, Deirdre, Lainie, and Emily, who together have many years of teaching experience between them. The teaching staff and their assistants have completed their “Safe Church” training.

The Sunday School is offered for children aged 4 and up on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. We use the curriculum, Illustrated Ministries, where we explore God at work in the world through biblical stories in both the Hebrew scriptures and the New Testament. We begin with an opening prayer and gathering activity, use Illustrated Story Cards and a script for acting out the lesson, and end with discussion questions and an activity for joining God at work in our world.

Service Opportunities & Events

Several times a year, the children in Sunday School have the opportunity to participate in service activities to support Among Friends Meal Program by preparing Valentine’s bags of chocolates or Christmas stockings with needed toiletries.

We also greatly anticipate a variety of events throughout the Church year, such as: blessing of the backpacks, blessing of the animals, and our youth-led Church service in June.

Vacation Bible School is in the planning stages for August of this year, so please stay tuned.

Children’s Choir

The Chorister Choir welcomes children who can read up to 18 years old. We learn musicianship skills, good vocal production, and traditions of the Episcopal Church. The choir meets on Thursdays from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Once a month, we sing with the Adult Choir at the 10:00 am service.
