Concerts at St. Paul’s

Concerts are a vibrant part of our church life and St Paul’s outreach to the community. We’re delighted to host some of the finest classical music in New England through our partnerships with the Newburyport Chamber Music Festival, Grammy-nominated Skylark Vocal Ensemble, and the Ballets Russes Arts Initiative, which features outstanding musicians from the former Soviet Union. In addition, we offer community concerts featuring talented local groups and individuals, including Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Newburyport Choral Society, Jubilate Chamber Choir, and more

Church Music Concerts at St. Paul’s

The St. Paul’s Choir is joined by the Jubilate Chamber Choir on occasion to sing Evensong and Requiem concerts.  The Jubilate Chamber Choir is directed by our music director Mary Jodice and consists of singers from the North Shore, Boston and West of Boston.  Jubilate is always welcoming singers and we rehearse in Salem, Tuesday nights at 7:30. Please email Mary Jodice for more information.

Section leaders from the Jubilate Choir also perform at St. Paul’s. In the past year we have performed all kinds of music in concert from George Gershwin to Gospel, Sacred and Secular music.

St. Anna’s Chapel First Thursday Noon Concert series.

This is a new concert series, where performers come from Boston to provide music in the wonderful setting of St. Anna’s Chapel. These concerts are half an hour so you can fit them in to your lunch hour and take a short break from work to relax! Concerts are generally from June to December.

We also rent the space to local music schools for recitals.  To enquire about our space and fees please email our Parish Administrator: Becc O’Brien.
