Our Beliefs

A Faith That Lives in Love

At St. Paul’s, we are committed to the historic Christian faith and believe that faith is a living,
practiced reality—not simply a set of ideas or beliefs.

God is Love

We believe that living faith transforms our lives and leads us toward inclusion, justice, hope, and love. The purpose of faith is not simply to be right, but to become people who live out and express the love of God revealed to us in Jesus Christ.

God’s story—revealed in Scripture, the life of the Church, the historic creeds, and most fully in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus—is a story of love.

We believe in a God who comes near. In Jesus Christ, Emmanuel—God with us—we see God’s love, grace, and mercy made known. What we see in Jesus reveals who God has always been: a God who is love.

God Is With Us

In Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, God with us, we see God's love brought to life. Christians call this the Incarnation: God entering fully into human life to bring hope, healing, and renewal.

At St. Paul's, we seek to reflect that love in the way we worship, live, and care for one another. Through our sacramental worship, we experience God's presence in the ordinary moments and meaningful experiences of life.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to carry God's love into the world through forgiveness, compassion, justice, and peace. We strive to live that calling by caring for those in need, welcoming strangers, standing alongside those facing injustice, and embracing people who have been marginalized.

You Are Welcome

We believe the Church should be a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and connected. Rooted in the love of Christ, St. Paul's is a community where people can come together, explore their faith, ask questions, and find a sense of belonging.

Following the example of Jesus, we are committed to caring for those in need, pursuing racial justice and equality, affirming LGBTQ+ people, supporting gender equality, and working toward greater accessibility for people with disabilities.

We also believe faith is a journey. You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly what you believe to be part of our community. Questions, doubts, curiosity, and discovery are all welcome here.
