What to Expect on Sunday
First and foremost, expect to be welcomed. Whether church is familiar to you or completely new, we want St. Paul’s to feel like a place where you can come as you are and feel at home.
Our worship may feel a little unfamiliar at first—and we hope, perhaps, strangely beautiful. We believe God is not distant, but meets us in the ordinary moments and experiences of our lives. We see this most fully in Jesus Christ—Emmanuel, “God with us”—and we believe God continues to be present with us today.
At the heart of our Sunday worship is the Eucharist, or Holy Communion, where we encounter Christ through the simple gifts of bread and wine. Through worship, we are renewed and then sent back into the world to share God’s love with others.
Our Sunday Eucharist includes music, prayer, readings from Scripture, a sermon that connects those readings to our lives today, and Holy Communion.
You don’t need to know what to do or have everything figured out. Simply come as you are. You are welcome here.
